Chauncey Johnson is an actor, writer and director. He has appeared on the NBC television show “Shades of Blue” and Hulu's “Wu Tang: An American Saga.” He started out writing sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade and performed regularly with improv group Reverse Circles. After performing a few sketches in small theater venues, Chauncey started writing and producing his own work. His first political satire sketch was “CAWG Sketch" followed by the short film “Hope Is Not A Dream.” He recently completed “And Then There Was Damien,” which was inspired by mental health awareness and social injustice. Directing was at first, borne out of curiosity. Chauncey has always been very imaginative and often creates movies in his head. The challenge of taking his vision and putting it out for the world to see was the thing that really sparked his curiosity in directing. When he’s not creating his own work or acting in others, you can find him training in martial arts or debating movies and TV shows with friends.
