Inspired by the likes of Tarantino, Scorsese, Josh & Benny Safdie, and internet filmmaker, Joel Haver, Alexis Garazi is an Argentinian director, writer, and filmmaker dedicated to telling unorthodox stories grounded in reality, through themes of love, family, friendship, and coming-of-age.
Inspired by my real life and events, I also wrote, produced, and recorded all the songs heard in the film (my musician alias 'Limboisreal' is credited).
Charlie Dug A Hole is a story about friendship and life in general. There's been times where I have been a 'Steven': too worried about my own issues to help or see my friends or family's problems. I've also been a 'Charlie': the friend who always puts on a smile and tries to be there for everyone yet never opens up about my own life and worries as I slowly dig myself deeper and deeper into a hole.
The whole point of the short film is to remind the audience that some times, a step back, or at the very least, a quick stop, is necessary in order to move forward, and to never be afraid to lean on those you hold closest.
