Chappal (Telugu)

Ramu, a 9-year-old boy, shares a warm and innocent bond with his mother. One day, while walking home, his mother injures her foot, and from that moment Ramu carries only one wish in his little heart to buy her a pair of slippers. He begins saving every rupee he can, dreaming of the day he can surprise her.

But life doesn’t always wait for plans to fall in place. Just when Ramu is close to making his dream real, fate strikes in a way he never imagined. Holding on to that one promise, Ramu stands at a point where love meets loss, and innocence meets reality.

Will his small yet powerful wish find completion, or will life write a different ending for him?

Director Biography - Vikram Srinivas Deshetty

Hi, I'm Vikram Deshetty, a filmmaker by passion and a learner for life. Though I graduated as a civil engineer, films were always where my heart truly lived. Stories, visuals, emotions they've followed me since childhood, and I’ve been chasing them ever since.

Chappal is my debut step into filmmaking an attempt to bring a small but heartfelt story to the screen. I’m constantly learning, experimenting and building myself as a storyteller, driven by the belief that cinema has the power to move people in ways words sometimes can't.

This is just the beginning, and I hope to grow with every story I tell.
