Anna Thorsen:
Anna is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker from Vancouver, Canada with a specialization in documentary story telling. Previous to film, she worked 9+ years as a high-level retail visual merchandiser. Parallel to Anna’s retail life, she travelled to 24 countries and started three separate businesses within event production, journalism and clothing design. As an emerging filmmaker, Anna aims to become the female Anthony Bourdain and is cinematically inspired by Wes Anderson, Agnes Varda and Martin Scorsese.
Akemi Walsh:
Akemi is a documentary filmmaker, impact producer, and social technology expert. She studied International Development at Queen’s University and Branding & Design at Emily Carr University. As a social entrepreneur, Akemi has worked to leverage the power of technology, media, and business to help build regenerative systems that benefit people and the planet.
