Chance Again
Alan Watts says; "To desire happiness is to admit to yourself that you are currently unhappy. And someone who knows he is unhappy is the furthest person from being happy."
Human beings struggle throughout their lives to achieve happiness. Life, however, is a current into which one is thrown; even if he struggles against it, it drags him along. As a result, this struggle brings nothing but unhappiness. The pursuit of happiness, in turn, creates a vicious circle.
The film tells the story of a young man who gets repeated chances to be happy, confronting his problems over and over again while searching for the true meaning of happiness within himself. He is trapped in a vicious circle where he can make certain changes in his life and relationships, but ultimately ends up in the exact same place. He cannot even provide a clear explanation for this to himself, and in reality, he is not even trying to escape the loop.
