Logline: A documentary exploring the issues & reasons behind an education system which is working against the professional growth of a child, in the states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, India.

Numerous disciplines have emerged in the contemporary world. Yet, since the last few decades, students from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana have majorly chosen MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) & BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) as their 11th & 12th study streams. Leading the students to only two professional career options which are Engineer & Doctor. The film finds all kinds of reasons existing for this scenario. While the outer image of the issue can throw it off towards marketing and the giants in the industry treating education as a business. The more you question, you get to know that the issue is way deeper. This film tries to do the part of a curious brain that wants to know why this is actually happening. It covers opinions from students, faculty at institutes & the parents of the children.

The film is controlled by a mix of observational & journalistic documentary approach to know the realities existing around this issue.

Director Statement

You are the main character. There are expectations to compete, to be somewhere, to win & only win. Everyone has got the desire to go big! Imagining a 16 year old version of anyone, passively containing these thoughts, is truly a nightmare. At an age of growth & world understanding, why is it so important for everyone to drop loads of pressure onto a child? Why is that they haven’t got anything to choose? Why is it only two streams that exist in the entire world? Why is there only Engineering & Doctor profession that can be imagined to be pursued?

A tremendous amount of these questions had a deep impact on my tender age. The same questions still continue to haunt students, from where I belong. As a filmmaker, I took this opportunity to invert all the roots of this issue & present them in a form of dialogue play. Strong opinions, manipulated education system, parenting as a responsibility – are few areas where this film places its base.
