As a Division I athletic recruit out of high school, Daniel Cooper was forced to choose between the two things he loved... football or film. After a serious injury, Daniel took his dedicated work ethic from sports and transferred that to the studio. Directing and writing stories with hopeful messages and grounded dialogue, this football player-turned-filmmaker makes movies with entertaining plots that, like him, are more than meets the eye.
“Cell Block Zero” is a film that is very important to me. It is the type of movie that
I grew up loving: A movie with entertaining action, but with captivating story and
characters which wrestle with themes you resonate with long after the credits roll.
This action-drama explores morally ambiguous themes such as choice, fate, and
much more. This short-film serves as an ambitious love letter to movies that are
more than meets the eye. This isn’t just an action film. It’s a story about sacrifice,
that happens to have unforgettable action. Those are some of the movies I enjoy
most, and I am beyond proud with the art my team and I were able to create.”
