My name is Marcelo, and I was born in Buenos Aires. I am a screenwriter, filmmaker, and producer with over twenty years of experience telling LGBT+ stories. All of my productions have achieved international distribution, and in 2026, I set out to create the Sundays label and become the Showrunner of my own queer anthology series.
One day I thought: what would happen if I chose Sunday, the symbol of the most traditional family customs, and imbued it with our own gay rituals and habits? That counterposition felt incredibly rich to me—first, to write and film the short film Casual Sunday, and later, to create an entire anthology series that allows me to narrate different stories of various genres occurring on different Sundays. That’s when I knew I had a franchise, and I called it Sundays. I needed a logline, and it was born: Sundays are so queer.
