BIO: Karmel Daly B.A.
Karmel Daly is a multi media artist/singer songwriter and member of IMRO.
A graduate of W.I.T. 2010 with honours degree in visual art her thesis was based on the voice as a medium in visual arts. The final live art performance for the degree show, ‘Monkeyland’ , used video installation and Live Art. A backing track of ethno-audiology was woven throughout the live piece using the voice and performance as instrument. For this work Karmel was awarded two awards: Best use of Video –Cork Film Centre and Sculpture Award from the National Sculpture Factory.
Originally from Ballyfermot in Dublin , Karmel now resides in Co. Wexford . She went on to exhibit and perform a live art piece as part of the three colours programme in SOMA gallery Waterford April 2011. entitled ‘ Singing The Reds’, An album of original and cover material was also produced, for the colour, RED,
Karmel is currently pursuing a post grad certificate level 9 in Creativity Innovation and Entrepreneurship with the UCD Academy of Innovation.
