Director Biography - ELENA RODICA ROTARU

Elena Rodica Rotaru nata in Romania a Medgidia il 21/09/1979 … ha studiato la moda industriale a Constanta e gastronomia in Bucarest, nell’ 2007 si trasferisce in Italia nella Calabria dopo 4 anni inizia a lavorare come modella in Italia per poi studiare fashion design per il cinema .. nel 2015 inizierà ad lavorare in una società di documentari per tv italiana Rai 3 programmi Geo e Kilimangiaro… come costumista , scenografia per poi arrivare ad essere una regista. Questo grazie alla società Pandataria Film Srl Roma, diretto da famoso regista Salvatore Braca.

Director Statement

Sono Elena Rodica Rotaru, rumena. Fin da bambina ho sempre desiderato venire in Italia, in particolare sull'isola di Capri. Ma ci sono venuta dopo 10 anni trascorsi in Italia per realizzare un documentario in collaborazione con il mio caro amico Costanzo Vuotto. Nell'agosto 2021 è stata la mia prima visita a Capri, ovviamente per lavoro... Ho intervistato molti artisti e artigiani capresi, che mi hanno insegnato tante cose belle che si possono vedere sull'isola. Nel mio documentario vi mostrerò tutti gli artisti che ho incontrato e che in seguito sono diventati miei cari amici. Arte caprese per la vita!
