Sidney and Olson are stuck working overnight at a call centre. It's all a bit boring until Sidney starts getting strange phone calls from someone who seems to know what's happening in their office. As the calls become more and more invasive, Sidney is in a race against time to figure out who keeps calling her and what they want.

American-born and based on the Gold Coast, Australia for the past 10 years, CJ Barnes made his first award-winning short film in 2018, "Hunger - A Short Film", which earned 15 festival selections around the globe. He has since made three other shorts which have earned another 11 selections and counting.
The recently completed "Call Waiting", his latest film, was filmed in 2020 during the COVID pandemic with a small team and is his favourite project to date.
"'Filmmaking is a journey' is clichéd but it's something I find to be inherently true. Not just in singular projects, but in my ability to tell stories as a whole. For me, "Call Waiting" is the latest chapter, but also one that shows my development as a storyteller. That's why I'm so proud of it."
