Wes Tian is a 15-year-old artist from Chicago, Illinois. From a very young age, Wes has had a passion for writing, directing, and acting. Tian has starred on Disney+ TV series “Doogie Kamealoha M.D.” (2021-2023) as "Brian Patrick Kamealoha", as well as creating his own films.
Several of his films have awarded him grand prizes at the GEG Chicagoland Film Festival, such as “A Day in Pete's Shoes” (2017-18), “Group 1” (2019-20), which garnered him a lifetime achievement award, “My Journey” (2023-24) winning the Future Filmmaker Award, “The Gift” (2021-22) which was also an official selection at the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival (JDIFF), and was officially selected in the Chicago International REEL Film Festival. “A Film About A Box” (2022-23), earning an honorable mention and being officially selected at JDIFF. “A Film About A Box” (2022-23) also qualified as a quarter-finalist for the Student World International Film Festival. “CURSES AREN’T REAL” (2023-24), officially selected at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, and “Delirious” (2023-24) were also officially selected at JDIFF.
Some of his other films such as “Brother” (2021), was voted People’s Choice Award at the Elgin Fringe Film Festival, and qualified as a finalist in the Elgin Short Film Festival. “Paranoia” (2021), was officially selected in the Chicago Horror Film Festival.
