Private Project

CURA

This short film features Gia Green's voice reading from the diary of a whore – her very own – and was made in collaboration with porn friends Laura Ropes, María Riot, and Sylvan. Framed as an intimate confession, it reflects on loneliness, the human need for love (whores included), and how stigma defines how SWs are seen, loved, and valued beyond their labour, until it seeps into their closest and intimate relationships. Offering care, tenderness, and chosen kinship between sex workers as a shared survival practice, the film does so with an all-star cast performing what they know best: a foursome on camera.

Director Biography - Gia Green

Gia Green (she/they) is an adult performer, full-service sex worker, and stripper based in Barcelona, Spain. A femme fatale with daddy energy. A bold spirit with a rebel, nasty heart. Engaging in both online and offline sex work, she finds joy in letting her body play with the camera, the pole, the mirror on the roof, and your eyes. Her practice is equal parts cute, hot, androgynous girlfriend next door and fierce supporter of SW rights. CURA is her directorial debut.

Director Statement

This work is dedicated to all the sex workers who showed me the path and those I've shared what I know with. We survive by taking care of each other.

Special thanks to my friend Francesca Burrani for translating into images exactly the mood I had in mind and for all the genuine support, hard work, and trust. And to my dear friend Massimiliano Cerioni, who with his talent understood deeply what I was looking for and took it even further, in ways I could never have ever imagined (headphones recommended!).
