Cole is an award-winning freelance filmmaker with over 12 years of production experience.
This short film was created over the span of my final semester before obtaining my Associates Degree in Film.
It presented many challenges, as many productions do. First and foremost, we only received about five hours for filming in total. And as small class of eleven, we not only had to develop and create our own shorts, but work as a crew for each one of our classmates projects as well. COVID-19 was also a hurdle that we had to deal with, as we were unsure if the projects we were planning would happen at all.
But regardless of all of that, this short film was completed in the end and I could not be more proud of it. CRIMSON IRIS marks the first time I have gotten the privilege to shoot with a RED Cinematic Camera and showcases the many skills I obtained while studying at Central Wyoming College.
CRIMSON IRIS was made possible by an incredible group of people. In particular, I thank Jeremy Nielsen, Numark Ricafranca, Matthew O'Halloran, and Brad Vold for their efforts on and off the set.
I also thank Lonnie Slack, Isaac Schmidt, Matthew Stacey and the CWC Art Department for keeping this idea of mine on track.
