CLARKKK
For decades Clark, New Jersey has had a reputation for being a "sundown town", a place where people of color are not welcome.
In 2024, this reputation is more true than ever. Secret recordings of the Mayor and Chief of Police offer insight into systemic racism within the small New Jersey town.

Louis Cacchione is an independent documentarian from Clark, New Jersey. He graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in Media Communications. 'CLARKKK' is his debut Documentary Short.
I was inspired to make CLARKKK after a scandal involving the Mayor, and Police Chief, shook my hometown of Clark, New Jersey.
This film is my attempt at holding local leaders accountable for the Racism, Police Misconduct, and Political Corruption that has existed in my hometown for decades.
The social issues on display in this film are not unique to Clark. They exist across our country. Anyone who grew up in a small town will be able to resonate with this piece.
