Experiencing Interruptions?

CHANCES

Chances is the first music video of who's lara? and $anteria. The film explores the thought pattern taken by the artists to escape their inner demons ; a visual metaphor of the vicious circle of addiction.

Director Biography - Philippe Vanasse-Paquet

Intuitive, highly curious, creatively starved… That would describe at best the 19 years old young director, acting on film sets for 11 years now.

After less than a decade of working in acting and dubbing (french voice of Spider, Avatar 2), the call of film directing happened four years ago when he directed his first short film, Captive (where he played the lead role). Since then, he accumulated two short films, a documentary, seven prizes, a dozen of nominations, and started his production company in 2022, “Non Applicable”.

Director Statement

Since music videos are before all visual experiences, I knew I had to surpass myself through the visual signature with ''Chances''. Lara and Santi then told me about their ways of coping with their inner demons, that they felt so surreal, so unbeatable. I knew that the video's universe needed to agitate between surrealism and realism, especially to support the surreal feelings that habits the artists.

Through a dreamy and atmospheric experience, I wanted Chances to be an ode to those feelings that imprisons everyone of us.
