Bury Me in Armor
Dimitry George (Ed Asner) was an illustrious senator, ruthless war hero, distant father, and very troubled man who recently succumbed to Parkinson's. Now, all that's left behind is his prized legacy, his grieving daughter, Sarah (Alice Kremelberg), whose husband has left her, and a large collection of audio tapes that serve to be the basis for her Father's memoir. Long time family friend, Mike Pander (Gregg Mozgala), comes to the estate to transcribe the tapes. Amidst the war stories and family tales, Mike discovers there was much more to Dimitry's story...

James brings his layered acting background into consideration as a Director and Storyteller. Having previously directed several festival films, he knows the importance of collaboration on a film set. His previous directing credits (For Hope, Superwomen and What's Left) have given him the poise and leadership to help steer this project and make it as effective, poignant and impactful.
Bury Me in Armor is set in 1987 and pays homage to the time period as accurately as possible; shot on vintage KOWA lenses, a timely 4:3 ratio, and on an historically preserved Virginia estate.
We put the viewer in the shoes of our protagonist, Mike, as he pieces together the memories left behind from the mouth of Politician and War Hero--Dimitry George, voiced by legendary actor Ed Asner. The film centers around the theme of Legacy and the dire lengths one will go to preserve it. But no matter how desperate our attempt to control it is, our achievements, actions and memory are cemented by others; those we leave behind. The ghost of Dimitry lives on, haunting his dear daughter Sarah as you, the viewer, are faced with the question - what does your legacy mean to you, and what length would you go in preserving it.
