Director Biography - Sig Yu

Sig Yu is a restless creative that hails all the way from the Kapampangan regions. Outside his day job, he collaborates
with fellow creatives/artists and participates in various exhibitions, projects, workshops and fellowships on Creative disciplines. His works in various media/platform focus on discussions on societal norms, gender roles and creative self-expression.

Director Statement

The short experimental film "Bunyag" (with an english title "Reveal") is creative interpretation on conversations about toxic masculinity and self-expression through physical disposition and fashion. included here is another discussion on nudity and its various impression when it comes to creative expression and interpretation. The aim of this short experimental film is to tackle how one can be pressured into adhering to societal norms and standards and its effects should it compromise one values and personality.
