Director Statement

I set out to make a film about family. Not necessarily the family's we're born into, but the ones that we choose. How these relationships shape us and the worlds that we live in. Growing up without much family support, the support systems I've built through friends saved my life. We, the filmmakers, are these characters. Wether it's dealing with social or economic struggle, love and loss, discrimination, mental illness, we've all been there. As artists we're all trying to figure out our place in the world while still remaining true to ourselves, just like our characters are. Everyone involved in this film put so much of themselves into it and what we're left with is a film about friendship and support, above all else.
