Kim hat genug: Von der Schule, ihrer Freundin und erst recht ihrer Mutter. Die ist nämlich Schuld daran, dass Kims Vater jetzt weg ist. Einfach weg. Also beschließt Kim los zu gehen. Quer durch Hessen. Ohne richtige Ausrüstung oder überhaupt einem Plan beginnt sie ihre Reise. Zu Fuß. Sie scheitert durch Wiesen, Wälder und Flüsse. Sie kann nicht mehr zurück, nur nach vorne. Bis sie endlich an dem einen Ort ankommt, an dem sie noch sein kann.

Brennnesselbad entstand an 44 Drehtagen in Reaktion auf die Corona Einschränkungen während des Filmstudiums. Der Dreh und große Teile der Postproduktion wurden im kleinen Team aus drei Studierenden realisiert.

Kim had enough: of school, her girlfriend and even more so of her mother. It's her fault that Kim's father is now gone. Simply gone. So Kim decides to walk away. Right across rural Germany. Without proper equipment or even a plan, she begins her journey. On foot. She stumbles through meadows, forests and rivers. She can't go back, only forward. Until she finally arrives at the one place she still can be.

Nettle Bath was shot over 44 days in response to the Corona restrictions during film studies. The filming and large parts of the post-production were realised in a small team of just three students.
