In "Breakfast Salad," my vision was to infuse a mockumentary/reality vibe, allowing each character to shine in their truest form, beyond the confines of their friend group. I aimed to reveal the fallacy of the personas we feel compelled to adopt when in the presence of others.
Teaming up with the comedic talents of Whoops! Comedy and PiePie Productions, we embarked on a journey to challenge breakfast norms with a healthy dose of humor.
Picture this: salad. For breakfast. Who knew that such a simple concept could yield such comedic gold? As directors, we reveled in the absurdity, gleefully dissecting the unspoken rule that breakfast must be savory or sweet – but never leafy!
Working alongside our talented cast, we embarked on a quest to find the perfect blend of wit and whimsy. With improv-trained actors at the helm, each take brought delightful surprises, ensuring that no two bites of "Breakfast Salad" were ever the same.
From brainstorming to editing, this project was a labor of love infused with laughter. Through the lens of mockumentary-style comedy reminiscent of "The Office" and the irreverent charm of "Abbott Elementary," we invite audiences to join us on a sidesplitting journey where breakfast rules are meant to be broken and salads are served with a side of hashbrowns -- I mean hilarity!
