Director Biography - Bobby Godas

Bobby is a director, writer, and actor who splits his time between LA and NYC. The trademark of his evolving style is the vibrant certainty of each shot, pulling inspiration from the rhythmic, unique visual work of Edgar Wright and Wes Anderson. Bobby currently works as an Editorial Producer at Apple TV+ and recently founded his production company, BOGAS Studios. Born and raised on Long Island, he attained a BFA in musical theater from The Hartt School. In his free time, Bobby enjoys game nights, dirt bike rides, and red wine with a side of indie pop.

Director Statement

Sometimes you outgrow your friends. It usally happens slowly, disguised by new jobs and romances, until one day you look back and you can’t pinpoint the exact moment the friendship, well… died. This isn’t that story: Boss Bitch (written by four women whose friendship is alive and well!) is about how far we're willing to go for our friends. This film asks, what happens when the people you care about ask too much of you? Will you still submit to expectations? Boss Bitch explores friendships, frenemies, and mortal enemies with a style that is comedic in one breath and suspenseful in the next.
