Jay is a recovering alcoholic.

"Borrowing Hope" is his first full-length feature script. It placed as a Semi-Finalist in the Boston Screenplay Competition in 2023.

Jay's pilot television screenplay, "The Rich & Powerless," advanced in several competitions across the United States in early 2021.
