Dominic Ross is a first time Director that has been working as a sound designer and composer within the film industry on several award-winning projects for over 5 years.
Based in London, his passion is to bring his strong visuals and ear for sound design to the world of Horror cinema.
"Border" is Dominic's directorial debut.
The film explores the themes of BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) – focusing specifically on the anxiety, confusion, and fear felt by the sufferer.
Those with BPD have a variety of coping strategies that can help them mask themselves to the wider world – but the condition is still there, leaving many to ask the question: “Which version of you” is going to be there when you wake up in the morning.
It is the film’s ambition to put the viewer in our lead character's shoes by ramping up the feeling of isolation, anxiety, and confusion through stark imagery and complex sound design to highlight the impending dread felt by the main character.
