Bon Appétit!

A flashy snail named Gus accidentally arrives atop a box of produce in the kitchen of a high-end French Restaurant. Despite the potentially fatal implications, Gus boldly expresses his ambitious dreams of becoming great through a fantastical, Broadway-inspired musical number complete with vegetable backup dancers, singing fish, and more.

Director Biography - David Guo

I am an animator, story artist, and all-around super food enthusiast from Frisco, Texas. When I'm not shooting reference or working on a shot, I'm probably obsessively listening to the artist of the week, playing Zelda on my switch, or fiddling with my acoustic guitar. I also LOVE cooking (and eating) all things scrumptious with my friends and family.

Director Statement

I made this short film for my senior thesis during my final year at Ringling College of Art and Design. It's an animated love letter to food and to all of the musicals I've watched over the years- I hope you enjoy it! Bon Appetit!
