Director Biography - Jeffrey N. Johnson

Jeffrey N. Johnson is a writer, poet, playwright, actor and film maker. His novel THE HUNGER ARTIST was a finalist for the Library of Virginia's People's Choice Award for fiction, and his short story collection OTHER FINE GIFTS won the Independent Publisher Book Award 'Silver Medal' for Best Regional Fiction: Mid-Atlantic (Ippy Award). He also won the Andrew Lytle Fiction Prize for a story published in The Sewanee Review. His fiction, poetry and essays have appeared in over three dozen literary journals. He is a writing fellow of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) and a recipient of a Creative Fellow grant from the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation.

Jeffrey's play AFFAIR AT THE HOTEL OPAL was staged at the Potomac Players 4th Annual One-Act Festival in Hagerstown, Maryland. He has made three short films that have appeared in over a dozen film festivals, and has acted in four short films in the DC/Baltimore market. His background acting work includes Silo (AppleTV), Special Ops: Lioness (Paramount+), Messiah (Netflix), Harriet (Independent Feature), and We Own This City (HBO).
