Blue is Lost

Trapped and lost in a crowded metropolis, the Grief navigates its way to find its missing owner. There is no timeline, no directions, and everything is a cycle. The Grief evolves as it travels through urban spaces & public transportation.

As the Grief finally finds its missing owner, it looks to each other and realizing that all this time, they’ve always been together but both are lost.

Director Statement

This is my film directorial debut.
I always have a deep and personal relationship with grief & spaces. How grief evolves based on the spaces that I am living in and how these spaces affect my grief. I am a commuter traveling from my province to Metro Manila, and I have always been vocal with my depression. The chaos in the metro has deeply affected the way I grieve. In this fast-paced and crowded metropolis, I tend to separate myself from my grief because I couldn’t find a safe space for it. I envision my relationship with my grief as similar to the spaces and transportation in Metro Manila. It is messy, repetitive, endless, crowded, noisy, and chaotic.
This film is a collective testimony of people experiencing grief while navigating their lives in the metro. This is a reflection of how spaces, urban planning, and architecture could affect one’s mental health. This is a story about how grieving is as similar to traveling in the metro. In this crowded and rush hour metropolis, how can we grieve? Or are we still allowed to grieve? I hope grief finds you. I hope the both of you go home.
