Blue Film
Blue Film is an essay experimental short-film that criticizes the monetization of the color blue. Why is blue identic with a male color, while in the beginning it was a female one? Why are porn called blue films? Why certain companies use the color blue to attract consumers? And, above all, why blue?

In one of my classes, I was given five words of Blue, International, House, Coin, and Metal. The task was to make something out of it. After some discussions with my husband and attending a workshop by an essay-filmmaker, I came up with an idea of an essay film to critique the politicization and monetization of the color blue. My husband offered to compose an original score for it and I experimented with different editing effects. The result is this film which questions: Why is blue identic with a male color, while in the beginning it was a female one? Why are porn called blue films? Why certain companies use the color blue to attract consumers? And, above all, why blue?
