In the 2017 fall season the producers of this show will introduce a new mayor, character/sex unknown, but for this speculation script I have introduced that new mayor as New York's first female mayor, Scarlet L. Jones.

"Blue Bloods" is a family based police procedural drama set in New York. Frank Reagan, 60s, and NYPD Commissioner is the son of former NYPD Commissioner Henry Reagan, 80s, they live together in Frank's home in Brooklyn. Frank's wife is deceased. They had four children Danny, Jamie, Erin and Joe, the eldest and a former NYPD officer killed in the line of duty. Frank's sons have followed the family tradition into the NYPD. Danny is a hard-core homicide detective and a recent widower; his wife died before the 2017 season in a helicopter crash, leaving him with two teenage boys Jack and Sean. Danny's partner is homicide detective Maria Baez, Hispanic, late 30s. Jamie, a bachelor, is a kind and thoughtful seven-year patrol officer with a Harvard Law degree and his patrol partner is Eddie Janko, she is in her 30s. Frank's daughter Erin, 40s, is a by the books lawyer who works in the District Attorney's Office. Erin, divorced, has a daughter Nicky, a sophomore in college. Frank's principles at work are Sid Gormley and Garrett Moore, his Special Assistant to the Commissioner and Public Relations Chief respectively.
