Blood Orange

"Blood Orange" follows the self-absorbed and woefully unskilled Detective Robbins and his down-to-Earth assistant Spotty. The two embark on a journey to solve the murder of a man named Isaac, who is obsessed with the color orange. He can only eat orange foods, only wear orange clothes, and lives in a fully orange house.
The three suspects of his murder are:

- Polly, a murderous-looking girl who carries a giant bloody knife everywhere she goes.

- Travis, a sporadic and eclectic gentlemen with bursts of rage.

- Marlene, a very sad girl who can only cry rather than speak.

On this playful, whimsical journey, Detective Robbins haphazardly stumbles through the case, before he makes a very dark discovery that turns the film on its head.

Director Statement

This film was such a blast to create, from the first idea to the final edit. I want to thank my lovely cast and crew for putting in a lot of effort and showing so much passion for my idea! Most of all I would like to thank my girlfriend Abby for not only being a terrifying "Polly" and amazing makeup artist, but being along with me every step of the way.
I hope that anyone watching this film can take away some kind of positive message of love, life, death, happiness, quirkiness, etc.
Most of all, I hope you enjoy it. This film truly is a piece of me, and a piece of so many others too!
