Experiencing Interruptions?

Blame it on Evren!

The September 12 Military Coup in Turkey has left great damage to children, their imaginations and family ties, as well as to the adults in society. The coup plotter General Kenan Evren has now become a figure for children who have separated their parents from them.

The film tells the story of a young child who grew up in a family that faced detention and torture, and was forced to leave their children and even their country, and his own perspective on the days of the coup and its aftermath. The child, whose mother and father escaped to Germany, has shaped his imagination and even his games with the pains of those days. He tries to communicate with his mother and father with a glass telephone toy he saw on a television program. Unfortunately, real life does not give him the reward he wants for his games.
