Director Statement

This film was born unexpectedly out of luck and inspiration! We were scouting a different film, and whilst ultimately it wasn’t the right location for that we knew we had to film something here. A few short weeks later we were back filming with a tiny crew and budget, and purely for the love of it. The film looks at identity and what makes “us”, following Ash as they hurriedly carry out a ritual to shocking results. I really wanted to focus on visual storytelling over dialogue for this piece, and to create something that feels like a tiny part of a bigger picture.
