Widely recognized as one of the finest cinematographers working in Nepal, both for fiction and non-fiction films, Bishnu Kalpit has won the National Award for Cinematography&National Advertising Award for camera work. He has been nominated for an Emmy and has won a Silver Award for Cinematography at the New York Film Festival. Kalpit won the best ICIMOD Mountain Film Award & the best Documentary award for his film God’s Buffalo in 2021. He also won first prize in the Kathmandu International Mountain film festival’s short film contest in 2016.
