Ana Trkulja was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She is a film director, producer, and owner of Cookies and Movies Production based in Berlin, Germany. She studied film directing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg (HfbK). Her mentor was a famous German film director Wim Wenders. She also majored in Media Studies at Humboldt University and German language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She has produced, directed, edited, shot, wrote numerous short films, experimental, docs, features in English, French, German and Serbian (Junebug, And Yet It Moves, Who Fucked Johnny Depp?, Prendre Son Pied) In 2020 her company started publishing audiobooks in English and Japanese – The Monkey and the Wild, Wild Wind by Ryerson Johnson that won Jane Adams Children Book Award for the idea of World Peace (1963 - one year before J.F. Kennedy won it). Ana has collaborated for many years with theater director Stephan Stroux. Together they worked on many multimedia projects that were screened at interesting locations during the Long Night of Industry. In the production of Brotfabrik, she made a movie Two Suns about the inclusion of children and adults with disabilities by using different art forms. Currently, Ana is working on a production of the movie Cattre with Iggy Pop and is editing a movie The Captain Michalis and 6 Virgins. During the last year, she has attended a couple of acting workshops based on the Meisner Technique ( Michael Chekhov Actor's Studio in Boston). She played a Japanese Buddhist with "extra people" in Minamata with Johnny Depp. She loves languages, yoga, and her elephant in Kenya.
This is a short existential movie based on my own experience.
