Lewis Rose is a London-based writer and director. His Pears-funded 2016 short film, The Chop, screened at over 200 festivals including BFI London and many others. It has won 52 awards to date, including top prizes at Palm Springs, Krakow, and Denver. The film has also been picked up for distribution and has since been screened by broadcasters such as Canal+ and France TV2.
Lewis’s 2021 short, Pops, was funded by a pre-sale from France Télévisions and went on to be sold to Disney+, after premiering at the Rhode Island Film Festival where it won two awards. It has since gone on to gain further accolades on the festival circuit and been sold to multiple broadcasters. His 2023 short, Keep, was funded via CNC and France Télévisions. It has screened at over 60 festivals, winning numerous awards, and was recently purchased by Disney+ following the success of their previous collaboration.
Lewis is currently developing two feature projects with BAFTA-winning and Oscar-nominated producer Chris Hees. Alongside his fiction work, Lewis is an award-winning commercial director, working with companies including Adidas, KFC, and Kia, as well as creating music videos for a host of major label artists. His music video for Beardyman won a UKMVA and several other awards.
