Bento
"Bento" is a story about a Japanese American middle school student who deals with bullying on his first day at a new school.
The student brings a strange lunch, one of his mother’s Japanese recipes. Before he has a chance to eat, another student knocks it off the table. Not knowing how to react, the new student just walks away.
Later that day, the new student has an opportunity to save the bully from before. Seeing someone in need of help, he acts. But this leads to a pursuit through the school!
Meanwhile, a curious girl has been watching him from a distance throughout the day. In the end, it’s her that saves him from disaster.
