Benedict Webb is a British filmmaker and director-writer, passionate about creating sensitive, heartfelt short films.
Benedict's shorts have been selected for BAFTA & BIFA qualifying festivals such as Encounters Film Festival. Recent work includes 'Next Week', a short film about a grandad struggling with Alzheimer's, which was produced for Channel 4 Random Acts.
Other work includes 'Soft', and 'Toast', the latter of which stars Roger Sloman and was nominated for best screenplay at the National Youth Awards. In 2022, Benedict won the Depict Royal Photographic Society Award at the BAFTA Qualifying Encounters Film Festival for his film ‘wherever, next’. Benedict is also co-founder of production company Room 18 Films, which specialises in narrative-driven short film.
