Omar Sandoval was born and raised in Los Angeles. 1st. Generation to Mexican parents. He is a Director, Cinematographer, and a writer passionate about inspiring others through his visual storytelling and medium. Omar received his Bachelor's degree at California State University, Los Angeles, emphasizing film and television. Omar's passion for filmmaking started very early, "The first time I was in "awe" with cinema was when I was six years old." He remembers watching a comedy movie called, The Mask. Omar was so fascinated by the film's special effects that he asked his dad how they did certain things. His dad tried to explain how they would edit and change the color of outfits by stopping the camera and replacing it with another shot. Young Omar was still curious about it, and all he could remember was asking his dad, but how? He asked so many times that his dad finally decided to take out the family cam-recorder and attempt to show him how it worked. His development and interest in movie magic grew from then on. He immediately knew that he wanted to become a filmmaker. Since then, he has graduated from Streetlights, a non-profit organization that help people of color get training as a professional production assistant and their foot in the film industry. He has written and directed his short films: Off Sessions, Dead Tired, Jolt, and Beg Me. As a Cinematographer, he has worked on YEY, After Storm, and 2128.
I've always had a big sense of humor and wanted to take on the challenge of writing and directing my first dark comedy. I got this idea by a group of friends, who told once that they put a hex on a guy. I don't know if they were being serious, but I thought it was funny. So I decided to write story about a man who is womanizer, who gets what he deserves, and more, as a cheater.
