Experiencing Interruptions?

Before The Sand Returns To The Sea

Life goes by, moves forward, without missing a step or giving respite. No one, nothing, can alter the passage of time that gives us the sensation of taking on greater speed, the further we advance in the adventure of living.
The wind is our pushing timeline, and the sand is the metaphor of the unpredictable journey of our lives with an unpostponable end, reaching the sea, the dissolution, the end. A breather in the course of life.
I am a passenger, and the sand reminds me of that.

Director Statement

A visit to the south, to Patagonia where I lived and grew up most of my life. A semi-empty beach. Land of wind. Sand runs along the surface of the shore at low tide. Spots of sand run all over the beach.
The mission, to capture portraits of the sand before it reaches the sea. The sand ghosts are the protagonists.
Trying to make these images, plus a reflective voice, which speaks to us and rethinks aspects of living, manage to carry forward a story of the course of life and where we are going.
A common postcard from my childhood, at that moment, takes on a different meaning.
