Mitch studied screenwriting at the Jacob Krueger Studio and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade. He also acts, directs, and has appeared on stage and produces independent film productions.
Originally from Texas, he’s now based in Humboldt County, California. He has a PhD in Mythological Studies as well as an MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
He is an active member of the Dramatists Guild. He does not have representation.
Mitch likes stories that involve the complex problems of human alienation; especially with regard to nature. He finds both tragedy and comedy in the awkwardness of the body, drama in nature’s seductive promise of freedom, and tragic ironies in a species that destroys its own landbase. His work is often satirical, surreal, and darkly comic.
