'Beautiful' - the personal struggle of an individual dealing with an existential crisis and derealization. In this one-minute short, we follow the character on a journey through his most intimate thoughts, his philosophy and his pain. A character, who was born into the world and forced himself to find a purpose - without being able to actually achieve one. A boy who lives in numb and pain, desperately aiming to find inner peace.

Director Biography - João Quesado e Azevedo

João Azevedo is a 22-year-old student with a degree in fine arts. Having always had contact with different areas of the arts, he never hid the huge passion he had for cinema since he was little. The first short film he made as a higher education student is entitled "Não Sei Quantas Almas Tenho" ("I Do Not Know How Many Souls I Have" - inspired by the poem written by the Portuguese writer,"Fernando Pessoa"). He is now studying cinema in "Escola Superior Artística do Porto" on his pursuit to become a movie director.
