Emma has lived in Alice Springs for over 13 years after living in several different countries, such as France, Fiji, Pakistan and Thailand while growing up. She loved Alice Springs and decided to stay and completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science while working in the field for an environmental consulting business during her time studying. Out of curiosity, she entered in to a number of film festivals in Alice Springs and decided to move to Sydney to pursue study in the arts, in particular acting. Since then, covid hit and she moved back to Alice Springs but has found that a silver lining of being in the NT during these times means that there are a number of festivals that continue to grow, and offer opportunities for creators to continue to create!
Bear Pause 3 - Growing Pains, is inspired by the desire that most children seem to go through when they reach a certain age, to fast track their growth and have all of the perks that come with being an adult, to do adult things and have those perceived adult "freedoms". Told through the eyes of a child but written by adults, who never want to lose that child-like curiosity and "freedom" that children have. It's a small reminder to not take the present too seriously and to certainly, not take it for granted.
