I've always loved monster movies. Growing up I was fascinated with Alien, the Thing, Ray Harryhousen films. It wasn't until I found my love for animation that I I found I could combine my favorite genre with my favorite medium. When the pandemic hit, the story of Beacon began to take shape. The isolation of being at home, the confusion of what was happening, and the feeling of helplessness all became center pieces of the story. Beacon is a tale of how even the best of intentions can lead to horrifying consequences.
