Bruny Derotzi is a non-binary person with a background in theater and currently a film student. In the audiovisual field, they work in Production, Direction, and Screenwriting. Their portfolio includes two short films: Closet Monster and Ballrom Night.

Director Statement

I’m part of Ballroom Culture and was one of the founders of Casixtranha, a house that emerged in the countryside of São Paulo. With this short film, I want to channel the energy of ballroom through visual and sonic experiments so the audience can feel what it’s like to be at these balls.
