The film revolves around an occassion known as Haldi- Kunku from western India where married women apply turmeric & vermillion powder on each other's foreheads for their husband's long life. Presence of widows is considered inauspicious. The film shows changing mindset in the society but how no one is ready to be the first towards making that change.

Director Biography - Preeti Mallapurkar

An alumnus of the Mumbai University & an ICWA , Preeti Mallapurkar is an entrepreneur, counselor & an instinctive writer.Through her blog “ A woman’s Heart’ she expresses her thoughts on issues related to women & children.
Actively involved in educating the children from the underprivileged sections of the society.Preeti Mallapurkar has so far counselled hundreds of students & help them realise their potential. She is also a marriage & family counselor and has helped stabilise many marriages.
Entrepreneurship happened quite early in life. At the age of 8 started a library for the society kids. Started a NBFC in the year 1999. In the year 1993, started working for the AWWA( Army wives welfare association) by educating the women and making them aware of their rights. In the year 2003 set up Pride Exports.
In 2012 she set up a security services company and later in 2013 incorporated Earnest HR. Earnest HR is in the area of skill development.With a presence in 50 locations across the country, skill development training is imparted to individuals & corporates.
She truly believes in her organisation’s tag line- Unleash the Potential. Hence, in her free time, she has started pursuing her passion (films) and is planning to get full time into film making.
