The Babysitter

The Babysitter is an atmospheric, Hitchcockian psycho-thriller in the tradition of Halloween, Diabolique and Scream, that is truly a showcase for up and coming talent like no other.

Led by the talented Alesandra Assante, [Lily & Kat] daughter of legendary actor Armand Assante, and co-starring Monica Wyche, [Hulu’s The Path] Zenon Zeleniuch, [Madame Secretary] Eileen Weisenger, [Iron Man, The Faculty] and introducing the film debuts of the talented Tyler Merell and Erica Duke Forsyth, who deservedly took home the award for Best Actress at the Independent Horror Movie Awards for her role as Cara.

Beautifully shot on location at the stunning, isolated estate of world renowned actor, Armand Assante, by cinematographer Rafe Karen.

Masterfully edited by Andrea Cecchi, who snagged a Best Editing award for his work on the film from the Diabolic Film Fest, The Babysitter also marks the debut of now prolific film composer, Justin Burning, who crafted a haunting and unforgettable score.

PLOT: After a breakdown leaves Katie expelled from her dream school, she is left struggling to pick up the pieces... And when an opportunity to babysit for a wealthy family on the outskirts of town presents itself, Katie sees it as the perfect way to prove how much she's moved on from the unfortunate incident. However, things begin to unravel as the night progresses, leaving Katie once again struggling to keep it together as she tries to make sense of the terrors she encounters.
