Director Biography - Carlos Vazquez

Carlos Vazquez grew up in the quiet suburbs of Connecticut. He loved creating experimental short films in the outdoors during the summer. His love for movies began when he saw The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers; the intimate story told on such an immersive scope drew him to become a visual storyteller. Baby Steps is his directorial debut. He currently resides in Los Angeles, and is developing a fantasy drama.

Director Statement

I’ve always enjoyed psychological horrors where characters question their own reality. I wanted to attempt to do this with my debut short film; to create a tense atmosphere where a character is driven by unexpected sounds.
