Bulaki

A story having a massive history of 100 years, based on a caste system discrimination society originated from the village of Karnali, depicts the hardships faced by a woman in the society where she cannot bear a child and all the cruelties she faced from the society and within the family. It displays the struggles and different emotional atrocities faced by her. It is a heart-wrenching drama that will surely compel the audience to view society from an outside perspective and educate them on such matters.

Director Biography - Laxman Sunar

Mr. Laxman Sunar, a Nepali filmmaker, director, screenwriter, and editor. Mr Sunuwar is recognized for his contributions to Nepali cinema. Over the years, He have been honoured with various awards, including the National Film Award 2023 for my special film "BULAKI", the BDBRA International Film Festival INDIA 2022, award for Best Music Video Director, and the 8th National Rapti Music Award 2022 for Best Music Video Director. Sunuwar also received the Best Film Director Award at the Nepal International Film Festival 2024 from the movie "Bulaki". Sunuwar actively involved in producing music videos, short films, public awareness videos, and TV commercials.
