BODY REMEMBERS
Bernard (30s), a flashy driver, is kidnapped by the wealthy parents of Anaïs (12), the girl he left paralyzed, and three fringe researchers: Tim and Kevin (20s), geeky scientists, and Mad (50s), an outrageous English punk who controls cockroaches through nanites.
Their nanites transfer Anaïs's paralysis onto Bernard, who collapses, suffocating. Anaïs takes his hand to help him breathe—sparking an unexpected current between them.
When a remote—meant to control at will his paralyses—malfunction frees Bernard, he lashes out. He and Anaïs end up alone in a muddy cow pen—she trapped in her wheelchair, he half-paralyzed, crowbar in hand.
He wants to kill her to break free. Anaïs confronts him: "I just saved your life, you psycho!" Nevertheless, each step forward brings him also closer to her, to hope, to that current.
His paralysis strikes again. Desperate, he flings the crowbar—it hits her. They both scream in shared pain—they're bound. Crawling toward each other through mud and restless cows, they disappear beneath the herd.
When the others find them, cradled in dried mud, fingers touching, healing each other. Mad explodes: “That’s Michelangelo! Creation 2.0!”
The group fractures over weaponizing the remote control.
As they scatter to gather the cows, the current stops. Bernard flees but Anaïs's voice cuts through: "I want to heal." He grabs her. Kevin joins them—the van roars to life—surprisingly the cows stampede after it.
Mad—understanding, turns to Tim: “The hunt is on.”
In the van, their bodies synchronize. They stop on a forest road. Bernard hums and dances a clumsy sirtaki with Anaïs between him and Kevin—all three stumbling, laughing for the first time.
Anaïs wakes to a dog licking her hand, beside Bernard. “He’s always hated everyone especially you… what changed?” says Mathilde, Bernard’s aunt.
Something new is emerging. A small fire, lighting others.

For me, translating Le Corps s’en Souvient into BODY REMEMBERS marked a new beginning.
The project obtained an Honorable Mention at Los Angeles Film & Script Festival, became a finalist at Best Script Awards (London), a semi-finalist at Outstanding Screenplays, quarter-finalist at Wiki, ranked 5th, 4th, then 3rd on the Coverfly Red List, and this August reached #17 among 350,000 projects.
My first film was for French television (1983), followed by about a hundred corporate productions — several award-winning.
In my forties, I chose to focus on my own creations. I wrote features, shorts, and documentaries — often attracting producers, but never quite making it through.
So I changed my tune and turned to interactive storytelling.
I wrote two CD-ROMs — an educational game and The Laugh Box, both award-winning and internationally distributed — then Fountains of Laughter, a series of interactive installations that led to a €500K startup and European reach.
Before BODY REMEMBERS, I wrote several features, series, and shorts in French — none of which made it past development.
Writing keeps me connected.
