BIRD'S EYE VIEWS
This film is about freedom, as it is visible in the public and private space. The diversity of built form, belonging to different moments in the history of the city, is witness to different ways of living together. The point of view is that of birds in flight, swifts of surprising trajectories and high speed. The film is a continuous take in two angles, with the birds as seen and what they see. The images are showing the backs of the buildings, as this way they reveal more about their inhabitants.
The birds, just like the people living here, can however lose their freedom...

Trained as an architect with a long career in teaching, he has been creating multi-media and videos since 1998. Started with visual works as film analysis (2001-2003). Over the years, he developed the capacity for handling all the aspects of filmmaking more or less single-handed. This resulted in a diverse and independent work of various lengths and subjects.
